'The worst of all time': Trump lashes out at Time magazine's 'extremely poor' cover picture.

This is a glowing feature in a publication that Donald Trump has frequently admired – but for one catch. The front-page image, the president decreed, ""might be the most terrible in history".

Time magazine's paean to Donald Trump's part in brokering a truce for Gaza, featured on its November 10 cover, was presented alongside a photograph of the president taken from below and with the sun behind his head.

The outcome, he says, is ""terrible".

"Time wrote a fairly positive story about me, but the image may be the most awful ever", he shared on his preferred network.

“My hair was ‘disappeared’, and then there was a shape over my head that appeared as a suspended diadem, but very tiny. Truly strange! I have always hated being shot from underneath, but this is a extremely poor image, and it merits criticism. What is their goal, and why?”

Donald Trump has shown obvious his ambition to feature on Time’s cover and did so on four occasions in the previous year. The obsession has extended to his golf courses – previously, the publication requested to remove fabricated front pages exhibited in several of his venues.

The latest edition’s photo was shot by Graeme Sloane for a news agency at the White House on the fifth of October.

The perspective highlighted negatively his chin and neck area – an opportunity that California governor Gavin Newsom seized, with his communications team posting a modified photo with the criticized section blurred.

{The living Israeli hostages held in Gaza have been liberated under the opening part of Trump's ceasefire agreement, together with a freeing of Palestinian inmates. This agreement may become a major success of his next term, and it might signify a strategic turning point for the Middle East.

At the same time, a defence of the president’s appearance has come from an unexpected source: the spokesperson at the Russian foreign ministry intervened to criticise the "damaging" photo selection.

It's remarkable: a photograph exposes those who selected it than about the individual pictured. Just unwell persons, people driven by hatred and hatred –maybe even degenerates – could have selected such an image", she shared on the messaging platform.

In light of the positive pictures of Biden that the same publication used on the cover, even with his age-related challenges, the story is simply self-incriminating for Time", she noted.

The explanation for the president's inquiries – why did they choose this, and why? – could be related to innovatively depicting a sense of power stated by an imaging expert, a media professional.

"The actual photo itself is well-executed," she says. "They chose this shot because they wanted Trump to look impressive. Gazing upward evokes a feeling of their grandeur and his expression actually looks reflective and almost a bit ethereal. It’s not often you see images of the president in such a peaceful state – the photo appears gentle."

His hair seems to vanish because the rear illumination has bleached that section of the image, creating a halo effect, she says. Even though the feature's heading complements Trump’s expression in the image, "it's impossible to satisfy the person photographed."

Few people appreciate being shot from underneath, and even if all of the artistic aspects of the image are highly effective, the visual appeal are not flattering."

The Guardian reached out to Time magazine for a statement.
