Barça Ready for Inaugural Match at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
Barça revealed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in domestic competition over two years following their departure to allow renovations to start.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans are permitted inside as per the current authorization. After final construction, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.
Stadium Testing
The club conducted a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium earlier this month. The club said approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt in December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
